infotoaster, logic on fire

Who is this guy?

Anthony PelusoMy name is Anthony Peluso, and I've been making web sites, building databases, and pushing pixels professionally for over 10 years.

I have been relentlessly experimenting with the Internet as a medium since the early 90s. I was publishing music online before mp3s and posting internet video before "web" was affixed to "webcam". I built an online journal from scratch well before "blogs" and I was convincing JavaScript and XML to play nice when AJAX was still just a bathroom cleaner.

Right now I'm contemplating strategies and tools to enhance web site standardization and accessibility. I think the future of the Internet is in elegant, multi-facetable presentation for all types of devices, people, and perspectives. As far as public availability and accessibility of information goes, I don't think we've seen anything yet.

The Short Version

The Atari 2600, back when consoles wood.I cut my teeth on an Atari 2600, first programmed a Commodore Vic-20 with a cassette tape drive, and learned hardware trying to get Wing Commander II to run on my shiny new 486.

I have a bachelor's degree in Business Analysis and Information Systems from Texas A&M University, which I left just in time to get swept up in the dot-com boom of northern Virginia in the late 90s. From deep in the trenches I saw giants rise and fall, and fortunately was able help start two companies that are still running today.

I have been working with one of those companies, LocalPlay, Inc, as Senior Developer and Vice President for 7 years, where I have completed projects for organizations such as the U.S. Department of State, James Madison University, and the United States Army,

I have since helped launch a few more companies, through which I have done work for such organizations as Bose, MGM Grand Detroit, Exel, and Fish & Richardson.

I also produce electronic music, DJ, and have been known to produce web sites for concert tickets, pizza, or bourbon. I feel naked without my treo.
